Tractor Distributor
Case/International Distributor failure can occur for many reasons. Most of these cases are due to a worn out spark plug which has either been replaced or ground off with a wrench. The other cause could be the case where the wires used to light the units have become disconnected. Some distributors will also suffer from electrical issues caused by poor wiring or a faulty fuse. In any case, you should replace your distributor as soon as you can.
Complete Tractor Distributors performs flawlessly in three different ways. First, they transfer power from the engine to spark plugs, maintain proper ignition timing and fire the starter coils. Second, if your engine stalls or misfires, it may be time to replace your distributor. Third, the case/international distributor bushings and cases must be properly aligned and replaced as well. The distributor shaft and its bushings are made from a material known as ironwood and are very strong. If these components are not properly aligned or if the distributor has become weak, it will fail to do its job and could lead to a complete loss of power or fuel delivery to the engine.
To ensure that your vehicle receives the proper power and fuel at all times, you should always check to make sure that the distributor is properly installed. If the spark plug wires are located incorrectly, the manufacturer will often replace them with wires that match the power rating of the engine. If replacement of the wires fails and the problem cannot be solved, the dealer will most likely install a new distributor to restore power and fuel delivery to the motor.
