Tractor Exhaust Parts
There are many parts of your tractor that make up the exhaust system. Basic Tractor Exhaust Systems starts with the muffler, which is a cone-like baffle consisting of individual pipes meant to gather the exhaust fumes from the cylinders and direct them to a single large pipe intended for the discharge back into the air. The baffle can be made out of sturdy materials like stainless steel, or tough cast iron. If you need to replace an existing muffler or if you are upgrading your entire exhaust system, you should consult with your mechanic or look to your owner's manual for guidance on what kind of exhaust system you need to purchase.
After you have replaced the muffler and other needed parts, you may decide to update the rest of the exhaust system by purchasing tractor exhaust parts such as Catalytic converters. Catalytic converters are used to recover the waste gases from an active combustion engine. A catalytic converter has two parts: a catalyst collar. The catalytic converter is needed in order to start the engine again after a burn out, allowing it to function more effectively.
You may also need tractor clutch parts such as a shift lock disconnector or a transfer case disconnected depending on what type of tractor you own. This part serves a couple different purposes. First, a transfer case disconnector allows one tractor to be operated by more than one person at a time, allowing the owner to have more tractors in their barn. Second, a shift lock disconnect prevents someone from driving a tractor while others are in the cab. If you own an enclosed tractor, you may also need to purchase a lock to prevent thieves from getting into your cab. You can find these tractor accessories at any local auto parts store.
