If you own a John Deere or other brand of tractor, it is wise to invest in a quality piece of equipment that carries a Tractor Filter Bag. The purpose of the Tractor Filter Bag is to keep your filters clean and free of dust, debris, and other particle accumulation problems common with many brands of tractors. Cleaning and maintaining a bag on a tractor is fairly simple. When purchasing your next machine, be sure to ask the salesman if the bag will be included or if you will need to buy it separately. Many pieces of equipment come with a filter bag but some only come with the filter; you must purchase both items separately.
Once you have purchased your tractor and have it properly installed, you should always be sure to wash your machine thoroughly after use to make sure all parts are completely clean and free of debris. You should empty the dust bin of any particles immediately after use and then, according to the manufacturers instructions, turn off the agitator and allow the machine to cool down completely before proceeding to replace the bag. Make sure you follow the manufactures recommendation of inserting the filter assembly in place, then placing the filter securely within its plastic sleeve. This step is especially important if your tractor has an enclosed dust bin. Failure to follow this step can result in damage to the machine's cooling system.
Once the tractor is cool enough to be cleaned, it should be thoroughly cleaned inside and out using a vacuum. Make sure you remove all loose dust particles to ensure that the bag fits properly within the machine. Attach the hose and make sure that the filter is snugly in place before continuing. Replace the agitator and attach the bag and enjoy clean air all day every time you operate your tractor.
