Tractor Ignition
What are Tractor Ignition problems? Well if you have a brand new tractor and it has not been installed properly then you will need to make sure that the owner's manual states that the Ignition system on the tractor is properly tested before use. You do not want to take your chances with something so costly and potentially very dangerous. There are many problems that can occur, and depending on the area of the country you can have problems ranging anywhere from the timing to the wiring.
Before you start to test the tractor, make sure that you turn off the engine and unplug it from the power source. Then you should locate where the tractor's starter motor is and look under the hood. Many people fail to do this and find that the tractor starts but no one opens the hood. To test it, you need to make sure that the starter is engaged first then start the engine and make sure that the tractor goes into neutral.
Another easy thing to check is the starter light. If you have troubles starting your tractor then this may be due to a loose connection or to the starter actually being burnt out. You can easily check this by having a look under your tractor and making sure that there is nothing on the ground underneath it.
